FAQ's
What is a composite door made of?
A composite door is made from a blend of materials including timber, PVC, aluminium, and Coolskin Technology. This multi-layered design makes it stronger, more weather-resistant, and more thermally efficient than traditional single-material doors.
Are composite doors more secure than uPVC doors?
Yes, composite doors offer superior security. They typically include multi-point locking systems, anti-snap cylinders, and toughened glass, making them much harder to force or tamper with compared to standard uPVC doors.
Do composite doors help with energy efficiency?
Absolutely. Composite doors have insulated cores and advanced weather seals that help reduce heat loss. Many customers see a noticeable improvement in warmth and lower energy bills after installation.
How long do composite doors last?
A high-quality composite door can last 30 years or more with minimal maintenance. They are resistant to warping, fading, and cracking, even in harsh weather conditions.
Can I customise the look of my composite door?
Yes! You can choose from a wide range of colours, finishes, glazing styles, handles, letterplates, and more. We also offer custom RAL colour matching for a perfect match to your home’s aesthetic.
How long does installation take?
Most composite doors are installed in just one day. Our team works efficiently and leaves your home clean and tidy, with minimal disruption.
Do you serve my area?
We install composite doors across Lincolnshire, offering professional service to homeowners in both urban and rural areas.

Our old door had become an eyesore, so we reached out to Composite Doors for advice. Jay came out to measure and helped us choose a modern composite style in anthracite grey.
It was fitted this week and we’re thrilled. Not only does it look miles better, but we’ve already noticed the hallway is warmer and quieter. Their service was efficient, affordable, and friendly. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to friends and family.
